VIVID 2023 – Australian Oceans
‘Australian Oceans’ is a breathtaking installation at the 2023 Vivid Sydney Festival featuring a decade of marine photography from Craig Parry’s underwater adventures. The installation creates a 360-degree experience that surrounds viewers with awe-inspiring footage of ocean wildlife including seals, turtles, dolphins, and the mythical albino Humpback whale, Migaloo.
For this project, I edited and optimised Craig’s footage for the 360-degree screens with the use of Adobe Aftereffects. For the sound, I used audio replacement to heighten the immersive ambience of the installation and developed an original soundtrack to tie together the entire experience. I also designed 3D animations and stills for planning and promotional material.
